After spending nearly a decade frustrated by the lack of diversity and inclusion within both teams and leadership at tech companies, I decided to do something about it.
In 2013, I started a nonprofit organization, Girl STEM Stars, which is dedicated to advancing girls of color from underserved communities in STEM.
As a tech leader, motivational speaker and inclusion advocate, I’ve committed my career to closing the representation gap for Black girls and women in tech through STEM education.
I believe breaking down the barriers Black girls and women face in tech starts by investing in their STEM education, and exposing them to learning opportunities early and often. I also believe we must all collectively commit.
